Core technical centres

The Core Technical Centres (CTC) are facilities in the EV Building generally available to all Fine Arts students. These include three fully-equipped main areas:

• Metalworking
• Wood Working
• Maquette building and Rapid prototyping

The CTC also encompasses certain auxiliary spaces, including a spray booth and short-term assembly spaces. Qualified and experienced technicians in the shops offer individual project assistance to students from throughout the entire Faculty (by appointment), as well as provide class demonstrations, safety instruction and specialized group workshops.  Personal protective equipment is provided to assure users a safe and efficient working environment.

A selection of materials can be ordered and purchased through each of the shops.

Please note that the Core Technical Centres are not open to the public. Only Fine Arts students and faculty may use these facilities.
