The Story Within - myth and fairy tale in therapy

Produced and directed by Yehudit Silverman, MA, DTR, RDT
Six people embark on journeys of profound self-discovery by immersing themselves as characters in self-selected and personally meaningful myths or fairytales.  This film takes us through the stages of an original and dynamic approach to the Creative Arts Therapies and is a moving testament to the power of  creativity and myth in clinical practice. The artist can find the courage to paint again.  Out of the ashes of suffering can rise new beginnings. The audience witnesses the living imagination and creative process in action.

Developmental Tranformations Workshop

Facilitator: Jason Butler, MA, RDT/BCT

Developmental Transformations (DvT) is a form of drama therapy that utilizes a fully embodied approach to working with clients. As an embodied encounter in a playspace, DvT is an approach that assists individuals in working through blocks and in cultivating personal spontaneity and creativity. This workshop will be experientially based and will engage participants in a state of play. You may have heard of this method before, and this workshop is a great, low-impact way to dip your toes in the DvT waters and see what it is all about. Anyone interested in learning more is welcome.

Please wear comfortable clothes, as we will be moving. Space is limited.

Location: Concordia University, VA Building, Room 212
