Undergraduate Student Exhibition - WORKWORK is a collaborative exhibition of artwork by students in the yearlong ARTX 480 Integrated Studio In Contemporary Practices course. ARTX students' diverse practices engage experimental and interdisciplinary forms, working with sound, video, painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, electronics, and installation to create work in dialogue with the political, cultural, and social structures that surround us. Uniting such a diverse group of artists and practices are the many concepts of work that we all engage in: obsessive labour and questionable function; culturalindustries and value economies; productive deployment and awkward employment; linguistic sustainability; cultural performance; mechanics, process and thebasic question of use.
