Art Ed prof honoured for contributions of scholarly merit

Department Art Education Assistant Professor Juan Carlos Castro has been chosen by the National Art Education Association (NAEA) to receive this year's Manuel Barkan Award.

The Manuel Barkan Award is awarded annually by the NAEA to an individual whose published work in either Art Education or Studies in Art Education has contributed a product of scholarly merit to the field.

As part of the award, he has been invited to deliver an address at the National Art Education conference in March 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas.
